FAQs

DO I NEED ANY EXPERIENCE TO ATTEND CLASSES?

We have a variety of class options to suit your level of experience. To learn about our classes check out our Reformer Pilates page

I HAVE INJURIES, CAN I ATTEND CLASSES?

โ€‹

If you have any current or new injuries it is recommended to get reviewed by a health care professional and be cleared for participation before attending. Our physio offers a Pilates Pre-Assessment for this purpose, call to book if interested. If you have old injuries which have been previously treated and you are generally active and exercising then you can participate as classes are safe for all levels of fitness.

โ€‹

CAN I ATTEND IF I'M PREGNANT?โ€‹

Pilates is a great form of exercise during and following pregnancy. It is advised that you first speak with your doctor and then let the instructors know as adjustments may need to be made during class. An initial one on one assessment may be needed in some cases. Contact us to discuss if you are unsure.

โ€‹

HOW MANY PARTICIPANTS ARE IN A CLASS?

โ€‹

Our goal is to provide an environment where you can move and challenge your body with personalized support to ensure maximum results as you work toward your fitness goals. As such, our classes are capped at 4 people. Booking is essential to ensure your spot on a reformer.

โ€‹

HOW MANY CLASSES ARE RECOMMENDED PER WEEK?โ€‹

As with most exercise, the more regular you are the more you will see results. However, it is also important to allow for recovery and participate in various forms of exercise for overall fitness and wellbeing. With that in mind, up to 3 classes per week is a great aim however 1-2 classes will still have positive effects if you are participating in other forms of exercise.

โ€‹

ARE CLASSES ELIGIBLE FOR A PRIVATE HEALTH REBATE?

โ€‹

No. Under new reforms to natural therapies cover, Pilates is excluded from all private health insurance policies.

โ€‹

IS THERE A CANCELLATION POLICY

โ€‹

Yes. Due to the limited spots available we require 24hrs notice if you are unable to attend. Cancellations within this timeframe and no shows will result in forfeiting the class if you have a package or you will be charged for the full session amount.

โ€‹

โ€‹

As of right now we do not have 1 on 1 sessions however if you are interested please register your interest and availability at info@tidalphysio.com.au and we will contact you once this service becomes available.
